The number of displaced people in the camps exceeds 400,000, according to studies assessing the conditions in the liberated areas in northern Syria. These displaced individuals face challenging living conditions, living below the poverty line. This is partially due to a lack of workforce, practical experience, employment opportunities for youth and men, and the lack of access to the necessary education for work.
Based on this reality, the idea of establishing a technical industrial institute was formed. Through this institute, MARS offers unique and innovative vocational and industrial training services, aiming to bridge the gap between education and work and prepare young people for employment in the industrial sector.
This institute has helped many individuals increase and develop their skills since its establishment in 2017. The services it provides, including vocational and practical training, the experience of the teaching and administrative staff, the quality of the information provided, and the increased trustworthiness in hard work, have led to general acceptance and satisfaction within the community. This is especially true among young men and women, thanks to the free services provided by the institute. Since its establishment, the institute has graduated over 1,000 young men and women, most of whom have applied what they learned and entered the job market effectively and practically.
Project Objectives:
- Empowering and equipping young people to become productive and capable of entering the job market, providing suitable employment opportunities for them and their families.
- Providing scientific and practical training to young people in industrial and technical sciences to promote community development.
- Supporting various segments of society through free vocational diplomas to meet the region’s needs.
- Preventing youth from engaging in crime and extremism by creating a conducive environment that addresses their needs and guides them toward success and excellence.
Project location:
